Hello beautiful human beings and happy September,
This past week my blog turned 1 and it’s been quite a journey. I haven’t posted nearly as much as I though I would, but I’m so happy with how things have panned out. To celebrate, I grabbed some balloons, some confetti and decided it was time for a shoot.
The outfit I chose is very simple, easy going and so comfortable. My mantra lately has been “basics not basic.” These are a pair of my favorite boyfriend jeans (and jeans in general)–they’re so comfortable and so cute. I’m in love with the rips and the wash, and I think they’re totally flattering on anyone. For my top, I chose a Brandy Melville top (surprise). It’s so soft, so comfortable, and it’s striped. I threw a slouchy cardigan on top to finish the look. I love how baggy and “easy” this cardigan is and it’s perfect to keep me warm during the chilly Autumn mornings.
As always, thanks for stopping by and let me know what you guys think.

Hello beautiful human beings and Happy August,
The weather hasn’t been so great lately, but it feels like it’s finally starting to actually feel like summer. This outfit was perfect for both staying and looking cool (as well as attracting mosquitos). I bought this skirt at the thrift store a couple of years ago, and it finally fits the way I want it to so it’s easily becoming one of my favorite pieces. It reminds me of the American Apparel circle skirts I’ve been seeing everywhere lately.
For my top, I wore a striped cropped tank from Brandy Melville. To make the outfit a little more grungey/dirty/me, I wore a pair of black slip on Vans. I felt like they’re the perfect balance to an outfit that may be a little too “girly” for everyday wear.
Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you guys think ♥

I know I’ve been more than MIA lately, but I’ve had a very busy few months. These are some old pictures from a very impromptu shoot with my friends. We woke up, did a little exploring, found these great walls, and decided to take some pictures.
This is my favorite “play suit.” When I say “play”, I mean jump around, stand on my hands, I actually had this same exact outfit when I was six “play.” The overalls are perfect because they’re still super comfy, they add a little 90’s fun to my outfit, and when paired with an over-sized T–they compliment my nearly dreading hair very well.
Thanks for stopping by, and let me know what you guys think.

Hello and happy February! Before I went to work, I went to this super cute tea salon with a couple of friends. Yesterday there was another relatively warm day here in Columbus, so I put away my heavy coat for a day and opted for my favorite camo jacket (I could probably put this jacket over anything and it would be my favorite outfit). I wore a super fuzzy, super soft sweater from Free People. I feel like the sweater and jacket contrast well and give me the perfect balance of girly grunge–I also sort of feel like Cadet Kelly circa 2002, but I’m okay with that. For jeans, I’m wearing my current pair of go-to jeans. You know how you see jeans with holes in them that cost more than regular jeans, so you say to yourself “I can do that myself..” Well that’s what I did! I got a pair of $10 jeans from H&M that I cut a hole in the knee and suddenly they’re about 500 x’s better than before. By now, I’m sure you’re tired of seeing these shoes on my blog, but what can I say, I love them too much.
Thanks for stopping by, ♥ Lizzi

This past Saturday it was 45 degrees and I was more than ecstatic about the “good” weather. This outfit was definitely inspired by Clueless and Ariana Grande–it’s like if Ariana Grande was in Clueless, she would wear this outfit.
I’m wearing one of my favorite sweaters. It’s so soft and it makes me feel like a real cat. I think it’s a fun way to add texture and movement to an outfit that would otherwise be fairly dressy. I’m a big fan of this skirt because I think the floral works well with the black. Most of the time I actually don’t like floral on black because I’m not a fan of the way some of the colors contrast with the black. I also really like that this skirt isn’t a circle skirt. It’s just a “regular” old mini skirt. Trust me, I love a good circle skirt, but I can appreciate a well-fitted skirt.
I went with thigh high socks to complete the whole 90’s girl, Clueless look. I wore the socks with a pair of (very short) black pumps. Wearing all black definitely elongates my legs (and I really like wearing black). I wanted to keep the jewelry simple since it is a more romantic look, so I just wore my watch and the two rings I wear everyday.
Before we took these pictures I was eating chips (Garlic Parmasean, yum) in the car so my breath was a little smelly. To remedy this, I chewed gum like any normal person would.. and you can totally see it in some of my pictures. Oh well, live and learn. As always, it was still a ton of fun.
